In August 2025 we converted our Healdsburg garage into my home studio.  I was so excited to get making that the 98 degree weather didn’t stoop me.  However, I soon learned that having a fully thought out plan before rolling the first coil is essential in that kind of heat. Some of the carvings were more by necessity than design, and I dind’t think I would like this piece until it came out of the glaze kiln.  The dreamy Northern Lights effect with the curves make this a stand out piece.

Hand Built speckled buff clay, six glazes, fired to Cone 6 in home kiln.
