When I was first re-diagnosed, I needed so many lifelines to keep me from being dragged under by fear. I would walk into my backyard, and the leaves on our Japanese Maple caught my eye; so many leaves on one tree. Every single leaf was part of this one tree and yet each one looked different. Dead leaves scattered around the trunk, new growth on its limbs. It gave me something to hold onto. My body healed cuts, bruises, fingernails grow back, all without me doing anything. This tumor was no different, my body would heal in the time it needed.

Hand Built speckled buff clay, seven glazes, fired to Cone 6 in community kiln.
